Race Weekend Means Lots of Beer
April 4, 2008Texas Motor Speedway will become the “Red Neck Capitol of the World” this weekend, that from the fans themselves. They tell me they are proud of that moniker and who can blame them. “Red Necks know how to have fun,” declared one NASCAR fan who was rigorously working out doing numerous sets of 12 oz curls. They will party at TMS even with the threat of storms bearing down on them like Tony Stewart behind Jimmie Johnson. As one race fan said, “The storms aren’t so bad after a few beers!” True enough, providing you can still run for cover without falling on your face.

The parking lots at TMS are already full of travel trailers, campers and tents. A tornado’s favorite target, after the mobile home of course. A strong wind will topple over these vacation homes on wheels faster then you can pull out a yellow flag. The truth is, the further you get into the weekend, it only takes a light breeze to topple over the fans themselves.
Gentlemen start your engines, Fans pop open a cold one.
