Free PR Advice for Tony Romo

 

If Tony has a publicist and you know who it is, please forward this post to them.  Tony needs to learn how to deal with the Jessica Simpson saga.  Instead of remaining quiet and aloof about the subject embrace it.  Providing the two are very close and still going strong, which it sounds like they are, Tony needs to find a message that will get everyone off his back.

The biggest fear Cowboys fans have is that Jessica Simpson is a “distraction.”  To counter those fears Tony needs to come clean and say this:

“I am deeply in love with Jessica and she is a positive force in my life.  Not only do I feel happy around her, but she is a calming supportive voice.  When I am around her I feel at ease.  I no longer have a desire to go out and party all night long, I would rather spend an evening at home with her.  She has an amazing way of keeping me focused.”

That takes all the ammunition away from critics.  Plus, when you are trying to hide something, people always perceive a problem.  Try it Tony, you may find all the people that interview you will then be totally disarmed and even happy for you.

Tony Romo Not Happy With Me

First off let me say I have always been a Tony Romo fan.  He seems like a genuinely nice guy and a grounded individual.  But if he wants to be a multi-million dollar quarterback in the NFL, he has to take the good with the bad.  Apparently he doesn’t like being asked about his relationship with the lovely Jessica Simpson.

I did a one on one interview with Tony on Sports Extra last Sunday and he seemed to be grumpy about having to do a series of interviews with reporters around the country.  And when I asked, nicely, I may add, about Jessica he seemed to get annoyed.  Tony needs to realize the majority of viewers, not sports fans, want to know about Jessica.  And the sports fans simply want to know if she is a distraction.  He certinly has a right to date whoever he wants.  Cowboy fans also have a right to hope, his girlfriend is not a “distraction.”

Tony needs to learn how to just deal with it.  He is a “celebrity” quarterback, whether he likes it or not.  I’m sorry for asking, but when you do an interview with Tony, it is the one question that has to be asked.  If you don’t ask it, the reporter looks like an idiot.

Jessica Simpson Will Be at the Cowboys Games!

Brace yourselves superstitious Cowboys fans!  Jessica Simpson is telling the San Francisco Chronicle she will be at the Cowboys games no matter what kind of hostile reception she receives.

Simpson and Cowboys star quarterback Tony Romo have been dating for 7 months now and Jessica Claims the two are still going strong.  Will she be a jinx this year?  (I personally don’t think she ever was a jinx, a distraction maybe.)  Who knows, I can tell you, the first game that Tony plays like a mope, the lovely singer will be the first one blamed for her honey’s poor performance.  Silly, but true!

Tony Romo Wants Carrie Underwood Back?

…. Maybe so, if you believe Jessica Simpson.  Reports are now surfacing that Jessica can get insanely jealous by Tony’s constant communication via, emails and text messages with his ex-girlfriend, Carrie Underwood.

MSNBC quotes a friend of Jessica’s who claims Jessica asked Tony to stop all communication with Carrie Underwood.  Truth is, I can’t blame her.  I wouldn’t be happy if my wife was emailing and texting one of her old boyfriends, especially if he was a millionaire entertainer!

Tony doesn’t need the money, but we are getting close to training camp where he doesn’t need all the distractions either.  Why can’t he just find a nice girl from Garland!

Romo’s New Agent - Daddy Simpson?

We all know Jessica Simpson’s Dad Joe, has been responsible for cooling off the two lovebirds.  The Boston Herald is now citing a reason!  Joe was pushing to be Tony agent!  He reportedly told The Cowboy superstar with the 67 million dollar contract to dump his current agent Creative Artists Agency and sign with big poppa. 

Jessica, can’t be happy about this, that is unless she was in on the plan all along… hmmmmmmm.

Romo, Simpson - The Saga Continues

Back the freak up, DAD!  That’s what Tony Romo apparently told Jessica’s overbearing father, Joe Simpson.  The Chicago Sun Times reports that if the Jessica - Tony combination is to work as well as the Tony - T.O. combination, Joe Simpson needs to mind his own business.

The two love birds, are apparently still an item.  They were even seen dining at N9NE Steak House at Victory Park last weekend acting like two love struck school children.

Where are Jessica Simpson and Tony Romo?

1. The two are at Valley Ranch taking a hot tub together.
2. Tony is playing golf at Cowboys in Grapevine, telling his friends it’s over with Jessica.
3. Jessica is home on the Internet spreading rumors the two are still an item.
4. Tony is with Joe Simpson collecting the 50-thousand Joe paid Tony to attend Ashley’s wedding.
5. Jessica is in L.A. drunk dialing Nick Lechey.
6. Tony is in Dallas drunk dialing Carrie Underwood.
7. Jessica is in Dallas hiring a private investigator to follow Tony’s every move.
8. Tony is in Dallas filing a restraining order against Jessica and her father.
9. Jessica is alone at her parents house crying in the fetal position for no particular reason.
10. Tony is in Chicago making out with random, hot college chicks.

Tony Romo and Jessica Simpson, Back Together!

No matter what the Dallas Morning News might say, Tony Romo and Jessica Simpson are still going strong.  That from the God Mother of gossip magazines, People.  UPI  also backs People Magazine up.  Both organizations are reporting that, not only will Tony be attending Ashlee Simpson’s wedding but Jessica and Tony are actually still going strong.  The two were spotted at a trendy L.A. lunch spot yesterday.

My advice to the Simpson Family, keep the wedding photos of Tony to a minimum.

Watch Tony Romo Sing - Not the Blues Either!

Tony Romo forgot to do one thing before breaking up with Jessica Simpson.  That’s take singing lessons.  I know Jessica may not be the greatest singer in the world but she could certainly help Tony.

He looks pretty happy in Chicago singing “Take me out to the Ball Game.”  With a smile the size of Tank Johnson, Tony butchers the song made so famous by the late great Harry Caray.  Check it out for yourself.  (At least he gets the “ahhh 1, 2, 3! right)

 

This is about the time he was allegedly breaking up with Jessica Simpson.  He really doesn’t seem so upset does he?

Tony Romo’s Golf Ruins Relationship with Simpson?

Tony Romo is a golfer.  Jessica Simpson is a woman.  The two do not always go hand in hand.  I have watched many of my golfing buddies slip into a state of utter despair and desperation when their wives and girlfriends mandate that golf take a back seat to the relationship.  Every true golfer knows, the “lure of the links” can overtake a man’s soul.

As evidence mounts that Tony and Jessica are over.  One has to wonder if golf played a role.  Just two weeks earlier Tony missed the cut to qualify for the U.S. Open.  We all know what Jessica did to his football abilities, what has she done to his swing!

Jessica is demanding and is eager for Tony’s undivided attention.  For a golfer, “undivided attention” is impossible to give.  Just ask my beautiful, terrific, smart, witty, funny, talented, understanding wife.  She puts up with me playing golf 3-4 times a week.  Never once does she complain, but let me tell you, Amy is in the minority.  Jessica Simpson strikes me as a woman that would complain and Tony strikes me as a man that won’t put up with that.  In the end, maybe, Tony is choosing his golf game over his girlfriend.

Let this be a lesson to women everywhere.  Let your man play as much golf as his heart desires!  In return, he’ll be happy and you will get lots of fancy dinners at great restaurants.  Right Honey?
